Digital University: Under the National Education Policy (NEP), initiatives like technology based approach and digital university will be important for students to get quality education, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He said the government’s priority was to create a strong and flexible system for education.
To provide quality and affordable education to all and to provide formal education and proven skills infrastructure to a large population of the country. From NEP 2022 ECCE level, vision will be given to meet the needs of every student and to create a vibrant and equitable knowledge society. “We are working towards integrating skills education with school and higher education to boost employability,” he said
The nature of the job is changing
Dharmendra Pradhan said that the nature of jobs is changing. Industrial Revolution 4.0 presents us with a challenge and an opportunity to develop skills, to upgrade our vast population. The Education Minister said that a comprehensive change was needed in the process of skills development.
The National Education Policy helps our students and youth to become global citizens based on new age ideas and skills. He also said that India prioritizes learning Indian language to become a knowledge economy in the 21st century.
The aim is to bring digital education to every child
Under this, 200 TV channels and 60 TV channels have been started for higher education, said the Union Minister. Its content will be created in collaboration with the states. The aim of these channels will be to impart education to the last students. Digital education is currently available to only 60% of students in India. Therefore, these TV channels will be the number one communication system in the world for education, he said.
